The Los Angeles Lakers came in desperate for a win when they took on the Charlotte Hornets at the Staples Center. On a two game losing streak, the Lake Show hoped to improve their track record as they went against a young Hornets team. With LeBron James out, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis were needed to produce for the Lakers to get the win.
On the other hand, the Hornets started the season with a bang but have failed to keep up since. Led by LaMelo Ball, they are currently the ninth seed with a 5-6 record. Losing their last 4 games, the Hornets fell big time. Hence, this contest was crucial for both sides.

LeBron James needs to cut his nails
LeBron is sitting out since he aggravated his ab injury against the Houston Rockets. However, despite injuries, he has been actively showing up to every Lakers’ game. He was also seen being involved with coaching in one of the games. However, it now appears that LeBron can also find time for grooming in middle of the game.
While the Lakers and Hornets went at it in the fourth quarter, James was captured cutting his nails on the sidelines. While this may seem new, it isn’t the first time he has done it. LeBron James has even cut his nails in middle of a playoff game while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Evidently, LeBron is desperate to get back on the floor to help the Lakers out. However, James may be out for another few games with his injury still healing. LeBron will miss the next game against the Miami Heat and then start his recovery.
The Lakers have struggled without the ‘King’ with a record of 1-3. Their offense is often stagnant with no real movement. Moreover, with no real defensive threat, the Lakers need a dependant attack which they have failed to produce without LeBron James.
