After a tough road trip, the Los Angeles Lakers came back home to the Staples. They faced the Sacramento Kings who were looking to keep up their form from the last game. While LeBron James made an emphatic return last game, Anthony Davis was back for the Lakers tonight.

The Lakers were down and out in the last game. However, a huge fourth quarter and overtime by LeBron took the game in their favor. Coming into the game off a dominating 39 point performance, LeBron will look to keep the momentum. In fact, it seems he has done just that.

LeBron James blows a kiss to fans

Malik Monk and LeBron went back to back near the top of the key. Keeping the two Kings defenders guessing, James took the ball and shot it from deep. However, he won hearts with another celebration as he blew a kiss to the fans in the front row at the Staples. James looks like he is oozing with confidence and will need the rest of the Lakers to match that energy that as well.

However, the other players have been rather underwhelming for the Lakers. Both teams started off rather sloppy, barely being able to make any shot in the first quarter. Not a single player entered into the double digits in the entire game apart from De’Aaron Fox.

The Kings were missing two key pieces in their lineups tonight. Playing without Harrison Barnes and Richard Holmes, they were already shorthanded. Moreover, they weren’t on their best tonight, shooting barely over 35% from the field for the entire first half.

The Lakers have been in a similar predicament. Anthony Davis only had 5 points through the first half on his return to action. Moreover, Westbrook also struggled to get things going for himself. After the three, LeBron James went on somewhat of a shooting slump. All in all, the game was full of missed shots on both ends as they will hope to turn things around in the next go-around.
