The NBA preseason is in its final stages now. However, the one duo we didn’t see take the floor was that of Russell Westbrook and LeBron James. Finally, they suited up in the Lakers’ ongoing game against the Golden State Warriors. James continues to show that he is still one of the fittest players in the league despite being 36.
James and Westbrook did not play in the first two preseason games this season. While they watched from the bench recovering, Anthony Davis was the star who took the floor. Hence, today AD is taking rest for the game while the remaining two stars start for the Lake show.
While expectations run high for the duo, the Lakers are currently struggling. But when it comes to LeBron James, he announced year 19 with a tough layup to go with a foul.

LeBron James begins year 19 with a bang
There is no surprise in hearing LeBron James is still as productive as ever. Even though he has spent over half his life in the league, his game seems to improve in some or the other area every season. One of the reasons for his insane progress is his fitness. For a 36-year-old, LeBron is very quick and athletic to the point he compares to some of the young guns in the league.
All of his assets are now on show against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. James welcomed year-19 by finishing a coast to coast layup while winning the foul. He started the offensive possession by getting the steal, covered the floor in no time, and then finished strong with the layup. Moreover, he finished the three point play by making the free throw.

However, the Lakers night isn’t going all that well. The purple and gold are desperate to get back to winning ways, but they currently see themselves trailing by 10 points at the half. Their All-Star duo has struggled with shooting, 5-18 from the field in their first game. Not just them, but the entire team is shooting poorly with a field goal percentage of just 31.4%. If they continue this poor display, there are major concerns for the Lakers going into the regular season.
