NBA fans generally consider Klay Thompson as one of the best shooters in the league. The Golden State Warriors’ superstar forms a formidable trio alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green. He started his NBA career with the Warriors in 2011. Since then, Thompson has won three NBA championships with the Warriors.

An NBA panel chose the NBA 75th-anniversary team to commemorate the 75th-anniversary of the founding of the National Basketball Association. The panel left Thompson out from the team in a controversial move. This came as a surprise to many Warriors fans, including Thompson himself. He recently voiced his frustration at not being included in the legendary team. He conceded that his absence from the team fueled his ambition.

Thompson said, “Now, it’s time for me to get back on the court and prove ’em why I should be on that list. … I needed that fuel for the fire.

Thompson recently injured his leg during a pickup game in November 2020, missing the 2020-21 season. He previously suffered an ACL tear in his left knee because of which he missed the 2019-2020 NBA season. Later, it was revealed that Thompson had successfully undergone ACL reconstruction.

The NBA 75th-anniversary team includes stars like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and others. Current and former NBA players, coaches, WNBA legends, sportswriters, and others comprised the NBA panel. The complete list of stars shares 158 NBA championships in total amongst each other.
