When people talk about ice-cold players in the NBA, one automatically gets reminded about Kobe Bryant. The Mamba carried ice in his veins, and his game-winners stood out for a reason. Likewise, Kevin Durant is heavily attributed with a similar quality, and he recently destroyed Charles Barkley during a virtual interview.

Kevin Durant is generally a guy who likes to follow the ‘less talk, more work’ motto. He returned to NBA action after more than a year’s layoff, but arrived in style!

Kevin Durant does Barkley real bad on national television

Kevin Durant sealed victory for the Nets in convincing fashion, and it came against his former team. A lot of questions were in mind after the game, and Charles Barkley had a chance to shoot one of them against KD.

“There were talks about you coming back to the playoffs last year, so you really just been working on your game trying to get back to timing and conditioning really, to be honest, correct?” Barkley asked Durant.

This was a fairly long question, and Barkley truly expected Durant to be a bit descriptive with his answer. Well, that’s what everyone thought would happen and expected Durant to explain a bit about his recovery process.

But the two-time NBA champion just responded with a “yeah,” while keeping his head faced away from the camera!

This response naturally startled the people back at the studio, and Barkley’s reaction was priceless!

The Inside crew roasted Chuck for being snubbed by Durant, but it did seem like the Nets star did not intend to share anything more with the media.

KD records the perfect comeback!

The league and its fans dearly missed KD during the 2019/20 season. The superstar was recovering from a torn Achilles but is now back with complete fitness. Kevin Durant registered a 22 point effort in his comeback to the league, and it couldn’t get any better.

KD played 25 minutes in his team’s win over the Warriors, and he shot 7-16 from the field and made one three-pointer from the center of the arc. Durant’s and Kyrie Irving’s return has made the Nets even more threatening, and we got to witness a glimpse of it last night.

The Nets have emerged as the favorites to win the East, but it won’t be straightforward as one might think. The odds favor them, but the competition from others will be intense. Will we see Kevin Durant making the NBA Finals in 2021?
