Starting the season as title contenders, the Lakers have managed to tarnish their image. It has been a forgetful start to the campaign, as the side has struggled to take control of games. Friday was no different, as Patrick Beverley and co. romped to a thumping victory away from home. Despite starting strong with a 26-19 first quarter, Frank Vogel’s men couldn’t keep up the pace. Anthony Davis was the saving grace in an otherwise abysmal attacking display.

For the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns resumed normal proceedings. He ran riot of a disorganized Lakers defense, scoring 29 points on the night. Aiding him throughout the game, were guard duo of D’Angelo Russell and Pat Beverley. The latter of the two even managed to ruffle some feathers, and created some banter with the Lakers bench. In the end, his side comfortably prevailed 107-83.

Perhaps Adam Sandler proved to be Minnesota’s lucky charm after all. Can Edwards and his senior stars rescue their season after a rough start? Meanwhile, can the Lakers climb out of their rut? Let’s wait and watch!
