The Houston Rockets continued their week with a 139-130 OT win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite an effort from the Lakers, the Rockets seemed determined to secure a home win. The highlight of the game, however, was Eric Gordon’s amazing play against LeBron James.
Making it the Lakers’ second straight loss, Gordon had the stadium erupting with cheers. After all, one does not see James play like that every day on the court.

LeBron James-Eric Gordon’s play goes viral on social media
While in a transition sequence, Gordon faked James, who ended up spinning in a complete circle. Gordon pretended to drive and pass, only to go ahead and sink a three for his team. The stadium erupted, blown away by how well Gorden played it. Naturally, fans on social media remained elated.
Now, even before making it to the NBA, Gordon has been in the news for embarrassing Michael Jordan and his sons. Back in 2007, Jordan’s sons played in Loyola Academy, which was one of the best schools back then. Gordon played with the North Central.
Certainly receiving attention for being his children, Marcus and Jeffrey had some spotlight on them during high school. During one televised game against North Central, Jordan was himself present to cheer his sons on. Ultimately, the game tipped in North Central’s favor. Loyola, despite being the favorite, ended up losing by 88-47.
Gordon came through for his team with 43 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Additionally, he almost outscored the entire Loyola team. The Jordan siblings and Loyola were unable to stop Gordon?who eventually made it to the NBA.
How much did Gordon score vs. the Lakers?
Looking at the current scores, Gordon finished with 15 points to his name. Russell Westbrook posted team-high 30 points for the Lakers, while James followed with 23 of his own. Jalen Green, who scored 32 points, was the real star of the day.

“We have a really small margin of error this season and teams are making us pay,” James said, aware of their current situation.
Furthermore, the Lakers are currently placed ninth in the Western Conference, which only confirms their spot in the play-in tournament. The Rockets, with a relatively younger roster, are placed last. However, looking at plays from players like Gordon, fans are only excited about what’s next.
