One thing that many of the fans overlook is the hard work players put in. While some may put it out to the public, there is still a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Likewise, one such player is Damian Lillard. He is constantly working hard and this off-season is no different.

Probably the most discussed player in the off-season this year, Dame had everyone on their feet. Not only did he seem extremely frustrated after being eliminated from the playoffs last year, but it also looked like he would be interested in a change of scenery. However, it seems like he will remain in Portland, at least until his contract is up.

Dame has been the face of the Trailblazers for quite some time. His performances in the playoffs have earned him respect all around the league. Most notably, his record-breaking 55 points against Denver was a thing of magic, but he can’t do those things without putting in the work.

Damian Lillard in the lab

Recently, a video came out showing just how hard Dame really works behind the scenes. With the season about to start, Lillard has to make sure that he is in the best shape possible. Hence, work is the only way to get it.

In the video, one can witness Lillard more focused on cardio training rather than weights. It means that he is working to build up his stamina and get his endurance in check. With the amount of time he plays, it is no surprise that he has to work so much towards building his stamina.

But is his hard work going to bear any fruits once the NBA season kicks off? After making it clear Portland can’t win, Damian Lillard is going to do everything in his power to get this team to a good place. However, it is most likely that he will leave once his contract runs out.

He proved once again that his loyalty can’t be questioned despite the situation. However, at the end of the day, a player’s ultimate wish is to win and Lillard needs to do what is necessary. If Damian Lillard moves next season, where would you like to see him play? Let us know in the comments below.
