Kawhi is currently
recovering from a surgery that he underwent in July 2021. He had to undergo the surgery on his left knee because of sustaining a partial tear of the ACL. Kawhi missed the Clippers’ playoff run to the Phoenix Suns last season. In his absence, the Suns defeated the Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.A foul by the Utah Jazz’s Joel Ingles led to Kawhi getting injured at the end of Game 4 in the Western Conference semifinals. The Clippers lose to the Dallas Mavericks in Kawhi Leonard ‘s absence
The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Dallas Mavericks in a home game at Staples Center. Kawhi Leonard missed the game as he recovers on the sidelines from surgery conducted on an ACL tear. The Mavericks cruised to a dominating victory with a final score of 112-104 over the Clippers.
Reggie Jackson scored 31 points followed by Paul George with 26 points. George scored a last second three pointer to force overtime. However, Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic led the Mavericks scoring 3o and 26 points respectively. The Clippers will face the Detroit Pistons next at the Staples Center.
