Better late than never, Carmelo Anthony is finally a LeBron James teammate. The Lakers fans might already be complaining about sleepless nights envisioning the pair making assists and wreaking havoc. The duo that first met almost two decades ago is getting ready to make the upcoming season their most memorable.

Carmelo will stick to his #00 jersey even as he makes his NBA debut for the Lakers. However, in the practice session, the veteran donned a purple and gold tee, making splashes with his shooting.
Melo looked in great shape, focusing on mid-range single-dribble pull-up jumpers and some three-point shooting. This past season, he shot at an impressive 40.9% from long-range playing alongside Damian Lillard.
With his recent practice session, it appears that Melo is all set for yet another iconic shooting season. If things turn out great, he might as well hit his career-high from behind the arc.

Frank Vogel and his team of coaches would perhaps want Melo to come out with a defensive mindset rather than allowing him the freedom to take forced mid-range jumpers. This might even see a cut in his rotation minutes, but these sacrifices would take him to the distance too.
