The Los Angeles Lakers eye for revenge in their recent matchup. The purple and gold will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at Staples Center tonight. The Thunder have emerged as an underdog team for the last couple of seasons. However, with the Lakers looking better as a unit, the contest could have a different outcome. But, there may be trouble with Anthony Davis.

Unfortunately, for the Lakers they will miss the ‘King’ in this matchup as he is out due to abdominal strain. With Anthony Davis and Westbrook both coming off solid games themselves, it will be crucial for them to continue their run tonight. Another major plus in Carmelo Anthony’s red hot start at home as he is putting up 19 points per game.

After the previous game, the purple and gold must have learned from their mistakes. Letting the Thunder come back from a 26 point to win the game isn’t something the Lake show would want to do again. However, there may be another bump as Davis looked in pain towards the end of the half.

With Davis looking in pain, this could be serious bad news for the Lakers. Davis got off to a dominating start and looked good through the half. Moreover, with LeBron James not available for at least a week, this will put the Lakers in a real bad spot. While there is no update yet, the Lakers will hope it isn’t anything serious and he can continue.
