NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant men in the game of basketball. He dominated both ends of the basketball court with his sheer size and athleticism. During his illustrious career, O’Neal won 4 NBA titles and 3 Final MVP awards among other accolades.

When it comes to his opposition, the ‘Big Diesel’ is one of the meanest. However, the giant is one of the kindest guys around and has repeatedly shown that he has a huge heart. We have all seen many of his random acts of kindness.

Now, Shaquille O’Neal has again shown why he is one of the best humanitarians. The ‘Boys & Girls Clubs of America revealed on their Instagram post about Shaq’s donation. The caption read, “When @shaq comes to visit… 🤩 Thank you to The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation for your $1 million commitment to the Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County 💙”

The ‘Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) is a national organization of local chapters which provides voluntary after-school programs for young people.

Shaquille O’Neal and his efforts to help others

In the video, the ‘Big Diesel’ can be seen spending time with the kids during his recent visit. And as always, Shaq was at his playful best when he was around kids. The kids looked excited to meet the Lakers legend and gave him some heartwarming hugs.

As per their website, the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation creates pathways for underserved youth to help them achieve their full potential. The Foundation works to instill hope and bring about change in communities, collectively shaping a brighter future for our children.

Speaking about helping others, Shaq said, “A lot of people describe it as giving back. I describe it as doing what you’re supposed to do. You’re supposed to help those in need. If I’m somewhere and see somebody’s needing something, I’ll take care of it. My favorite places to go to are Best Buy and furniture stores.”

He said that he will always try to do the right thing and lead by example. O’Neal also said that he always wants to brighten people’s days. After retiring, Shaq has become an entrepreneur. And he still tries to help others in his various endeavors.

As a board member of Papa John’s, Shaq worked out the charitable idea of Shaq-a-roni. And they donated $1 for every Shaq-a-roni pizza sold.
