He made a stellar debut against the Utah Jazz where he set a single-game Summer League record with 6 blocks. However, the Minnesota native was humbled in his latest game by an undrafted player from the 2019 draft class. Aric Holman, the 6’9″ forward who has played in the G-League and the German League, posterized Holmgren in front of many superstars.

The Oklahoma City Thunder battled against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night in front of a jam-packed crowd in Las Vegas. While the Rockets won a close game 90-88, the highlight of the game came from Aric Holman. The former Mississippi State guard dunked on Chet Holmgren, which left the commentators and the crowd in disbelief.
Holmgren had a decent game as he recorded 12 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Meanwhile, Holman played just over 10 minutes but he definitely left his mark on the game.
Ja Morant, Kyrie Irving, and others soaked in the Summer League feeling
NBA superstars Ja Morant and Kyrie Irving were present in the arena to witness Holmgren being posterized. It wasn’t the first time either of the superstar point guards had been present at this year’s Summer League. Former Rockets center, Clint Capela was also seen at the Las Vegas arena along with legend Dikembe Mutombo.

The Memphis Grizzlies All-Star is no stranger to poster dunks himself. He had multiple highlight plays throughout the season as the Grizzlies stunned the NBA world to finish the season with the second-best record in the league.
Meanwhile, Irving has been going through a rough patch of sorts. The Brooklyn Nets are in disarray as both their stars, Kyrie and Kevin Durant, have asked to be traded. It is an uncertain time for both the players and the franchise. However, Irving seems to pass his time these days watching up-and-coming superstars in the Summer League.
