The Miami Heat completed their league double against the champions Los Angeles Lakers in their most recent game. The Lakers were missing two of their biggest superstars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Despite this, they were pretty much neck and neck with the Heat before the Eastern Conference champions pulled through on the fourth quarter for a 110-104 victory.

Given that the Heat were beaten by the Lakers in six games in the NBA finals, these two regular season victories are certainly an amazing way to take some sort of revenge.

The Heat were understandably stoked with the victory. After the victory, the official Miami Heat page took to twitter and posted a viral video of former NFL superstar Brandon Marshall with the caption, “IF WE WOULDA BEEN HEALTHY!…” This was certainly a shot at the Lakers fans arguing about the injury woes the team had going into this game.

The Lakers are hard hit with the injury bug lately. Minor injuries to the calf and the Achilles took its toll on Anthony Davis, who hasn’t played a single game in the last two months. The 6’10” center might be back in a couple of weeks.

Superstar LeBron James meanwhile suffered from a freak high ankle sprain and is scheduled to return on about a month. Given that they are missing some of their biggest names and have a pretty tough schedule ahead of them, they might slip up in the league standings.

Lakers’ fans rip into the latest Heat post

Understandably the Laker Nation were not thrilled by the latest tweet by the Miami Heat. From fans calling out the Heat for their poor show at the finals last year to questioning their success without LeBron James in the first place, the Laker nation had their unique way to roast the Miami Heat.
