LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers kicked off their new 2022-23 season on Tuesday, 18th October, with a loss against the defending NBA Champions. The Golden State Warriors proved too good for their opponents as they defeated the Lakers by a heavy margin. Following the match, the experts dove into what went wrong for the Lakers side and why LeBron James dropping 31 pts at the Chase Center was not enough for the Los Angeles side.

Charles Barkley, the 11-time All-Star had some tough words for the LA Lakers squad. He didn?t spare anyone, except LeBron James, while he explained the problems with the squad.

Swider, Scottie Pippen Jr. You?re not gonna win with those guys coming off the bench.??

The Philadelphia 76ers legend went no-holds-barred while criticizing the players of the Lakers team. He further went on to compare them with the names he recited off the Golden State Warriors roster. Implying that there is a stark difference between the players. And it is not a surprise that the Los Angeles Lakers lost the battle even with LeBron James scoring 31 pts.

Barkley also remarked on the point that Austin Reaves and Kendrick Nunn were the only players people knew a little bit about. But all the others are not fit to contend against the defending champions in the Warriors.

The 2022-23 season is being touted as the season where James would finally break the All-time NBA top scorer record. But his team isn?t looking that good at the start of the season.? The Lakers have lost a lot of games in the pre-season and now have lost the first regular season contest against the Golden State Warriors by 109-123.?
