The Golden State Warriors have been struggling for the past couple of seasons. The injury to Klay Thompson and the failure to bring in new players to improve the roster has been a problem for the franchise. Likewise, with Klay Thompson coming back from a career-threatening injury, the Warriors hope to improve their performances for next season. Despite that return, the Warriors still need players to improve their squad. However, General Manager, Bob Myers, denied any new trade deals for the San Francisco franchise.

This has led to a backlash from the Warriors fans.

Bob Myers faces backlash from fans

Many fans reacted to the Tweet posted by the GM and made their feelings clear. The clear denial of any trade moves is frustrating for the franchise as they think the front office is not doing a good job.

There are suggestions of Ben Simmons coming to the Warriors which may be a good piece of business. Despite having undoubted potential, Simmons really needs a change of scenario. The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Atlanta Hawks in this year’s playoff series which has led to fans wanting him out of the franchise. The Warriors, on the other hand, need big men inside and Simmons fits the bill perfectly.

But whether it happens is something fans should wait and see.

Will Golden State Warriors find their mojo back?

Although they have Stephen Curry amongst their ranks, the Warriors need to strengthen their bench in order to compete for the NBA title, come next season. Draymond Green is a vocal leader but needs support on the defensive side of the game. Whereas, Thompson’s return from injury could do wonders but recovering from an Achilles injury is hard. The shooting technique may still remain, however, lateral movement will be hampered and it may cause some problems for the franchise.

Thus, the need for players is a must for the franchise. Boy Myers thinks otherwise.

Tough times are ahead for the Warriors if this is the scenario. Having won three NBA titles and two finals appearances in the past seven years, the Golden State Warriors would need reinforcements to compete again. The likes of the Lakers have signed Russell Westbrook to improve their team. Thus, the Warriors need better players to provide a chance for their title ambitions.
