The Golden State Warriors superstar was just like everyone else while guessing the MVP winner for this year. In a recent interview with Taylor Rooks from the Bleacher Report, Green hesitantly answered his pick for the 2022-23 MVP.
“Steph has played at an MVP level, but our record does not state that currently,” said Green. He further added, “But we’re also not so far off to where that can’t change. And then, if that does change, could Steph be the MVP? But if things still as they stand today, I think who’ll be MVP is probably Joker[Nikola Jokic] again. He is about to average a triple-double.“
The Warriors superstar predicted Jokic to grab the trophy for the third year in a row. Green mentioned how his team’s performance also amplifies his chances. The Nuggets are currently in the 1st position in the Western Conference with the second-best record in the league(29-13).
But the question of who would be the maiden winner of the Michael Jordan trophy is difficult. The whole league is replete with phenomenal performances which are undeniable. Some of these performances have taken the league by storm and it seems like it’d be a tough decision at the end of the season.
