James, too, was making waves at a similar age. Both of them have very similar roads. The last game though came as a cropper to Doncic as the Mavericks lost 87-112 to the Golden State Warriors. Warriors player Draymond Green, who has a podcast, mentioned that he saw similarities between Luka Doncic and LeBron James.
On their similarities, he said, ?One of the main glaring similarities that stick out at you is how those two guys can manipulate the defense and can control the pace of the game. At their size, with their passing ability and the way they can put pressure on the rim and on the defense and with the vision that they have, they’re a lot alike.?
About the differences, he mentioned that LeBron would take more transition opportunities while Luka doesn’t unless it’s just a complete run-up. Draymond also mentioned that while Luka has a great passing range, he will look to score more while James is more of a pass-first guy.
