Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors are one game away from clinching the NBA title. Despite being down 2-1, the Warriors have won 2 games in a row and are on the verge of clinching their 4th title in 8 years. But Green says this year’s Finals were nothing when compared to the Finals against LeBron James.

This Celtics has definitely tested the Warriors. All the games have been very close and the Celtics have managed some huge comebacks as well. Green has also had a tough time in this series and has been ineffective in multiple games.
But still, the Warriors have managed to get a 3-2 lead, due to the heroics of Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins. But Green still believes this was nothing when compared to playing against LeBron James.
Draymond Green says the Celtics are no challenge when compared to LeBron James
Green was asked what is the mental challenge of facing Celtics vs. LeBron James. Green, who has been a vocal admirer of LeBron, addressed the comparisons. He said, “It doesn’t compare. He is arguably the smartest guy to set foot on a basketball court. To say that it compares to that, it’s disrespectful to LeBron & it’s a lie to you.”
LeBron and the Cavs met the Warriors for 4 straight years in the Finals. Despite the Warriors winning 3 out of 4, LeBron pushed the team to the extreme each time.

In the first matchup, it was only LeBron who pushed the series to 6. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were both out, but LeBron made a heroic effort to push the Warriors. In the second year, the Cavs came back from a 3-1 deficit and LeBron was the main catalyst of it.

The next two years were a little easy for the Warriors due to the addition of Kevin Durant. But LeBron did not make it easy on them. The Warriors were pushed to their best, and they came out on top, despite LeBron putting up historic numbers. And Green has massive respect for LeBron for the way he challenged the Warriors. And for how he pushed them to the limit to become a better team.
