However, the Magic are making headlines for the performances of their new star, Paolo Banchero. The young rookie has been in fine form this season, making him an early contender for the Rookie of the Year award. However, the Magic have another young star at their helm, who has taken the NBA by storm this season: Bol Bol. He scored a career-high 23 points against the Kings, in a performance that reminded NBA fans of Victor Wembanyama.

Victor Wembanyama has been a popular name among NBA circles, despite him not even playing in the league. However, many have predicted that he may end up as the number one draft pick in the 2023 NBA draft. Fans are already watching him play, thanks to the NBA app. He plays for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 and has already made a name for himself, with fans and players alike already excited to see the French sensation join the NBA soon.

While there’s still time to be able to see Wembanyama play in the NBA, fans are content with watching Magic star Bol Bol for now. The 22-year-old forward’s skills moves have gone viral on social media, sparking reactions from NBA fans.

NBA fans compare Bol Bol to Victor Wembanyama

Orlando Magic forward Bol Bol perhaps isn’t the best player for the team. But he knows his job and has been doing it quite well this season. It’s fair to say that the Magic have a good bunch of youngsters with them to build for the future. Bol Bol’s recent performance against the Sacramento Kings led to the fans comparing him with Victor Wembanyama.

The Magic acquired Bol Bol from the Boston Celtics earlier this season in exchange for a 2023 protected second-round pick. He had a tough few weeks before joining the Magic. The Nuggets traded him to the Pistons in January 2022. However, Bol Bol failed his physical tests, and the trade was voided. He was then traded to the Boston Celtics in a three-team trade. However, despite not playing a game for the Celtics, he was then traded to the Magic.

For now, it seems to have worked out well for both the Magic and Bol Bol. But despite the constant efforts from Banchero and Bol Bol, the Magic are 2-8 and sit last in the Eastern Conference.
