It’s not unlikely for star players to collaborate with sports apparel companies and start their own line. Similarly, Lakers‘ legend Kobe Bryant was a part of the NBA for 20 years, and throughout that time, he donned his own signature line of sneakers.
However, tragedy struck the basketball fraternity when the news of his death in a helicopter crash earlier this year made headlines. Kobe touched many lives throughout his life and since his passing, people have been coming out with their favorite Kobe story. In fact, the Lakers even dedicated their 17th NBA championship to him.

In the midst of all this, his wife Vanessa Bryant has come to the rescue for all sneaker-heads unable to get their hands on the Kobe’s during this pandemic. During this difficult time, a lot of NBA fans are not being able to get the Kobe sneakers they want.
So Vanessa made an announcement. She posted, “Hi, guys! I heard that fans are having a hard time buying Kobe’s online. I reached out to Nike, and I wanted to do something cool for fans to have a better opportunity to get some Kobe’s. Unfortunately, COVID shut those plans down. We came up with an idea and we’re waiting for COVID stay-at-home orders to lift. Stay Tuned. Happy Holidays.”

Will the Lakers bring another title for Kobe Bryant?
Last season, Kobe’s death was the main motivation for the Lakers. The team’s plays and games were dedicated to him. They were even wearing Black Mamba jerseys during important games and keeping his memory alive.
They didn’t stop there either. Even during their ring ceremony, they embedded the black mamba behind their jerseys numbers on the ring. Will they be able to honor the legend with another second straight title this season? The way they’ve built their roster, it doesn’t seem very unlikely.
