The Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal recently took a trip to UAE to witness the 2022 NBA Abu Dhabi preseason games. The league moved to the gulf country for the first time in history, following increased interest from the residents over the years. Shaq seemed to have fallen head over heels for the capital city of Abu Dhabi as he talked about his experience recently. Moreover, the four-time NBA champ, with a net worth of over $400 million was quite impressed by the hospitality and the real estate in Abu Dhabi, prompting him to consider buying a property in the country with 13 billionaires.

Talking to the Mirror, Shaquille O’Neal revealed that Abu Dhabi was the prettiest city he had been to since Singapore. The hospitality and discipline of the city significantly impressed Shaq. The Los Angeles Lakers legend received a warm welcome from the fans as he was the ambassador for the 2022 NBA Abu Dhabi Games.

O’Neal was also treated with an array of modern architectural marvels. He visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qatar Al Watan Presidential Palace. Shaq stayed in a luxury resort on Saadiyat Island. The Big Diesel enjoyed adventures like desert quad biking and racing across the Yas Marina F1 circuit.

Shaquille O’Neal looks to settle in the UAE

The 15-time NBA All-Star shared that he was looking to buy a property in the city of Abu Dhabi, which has 13 billionaires. The amazing real estate of the city mesmerized Shaq. Therefore, a businessman at heart, the former MVP immediately started looking for investment opportunities.

Shaquille O’Neal said, “Very hospitable, very disciplined and I’m actually looking at real estate here – I’m definitely coming back. It’s like Miami – very beautiful, very clean. This will probably be my home if I come to the UAE.”

The real estate environment in the UAE is blooming rapidly. Moreover, the wealthiest people in the world have started to gather around in the country. UAE has now 45 billionaires, according to reports. The number of billionaires in Abu Dhabi alone is 13. Therefore, it’s not surprising to see Shaq interested in buying property in the city.
