Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan, has been perhaps the best player in the game of basketball. With his performances on the court, he dominated the game in the 90s. As a result of this, he also ended up having a massive fanbase. Notably, Jordan gave a new wing to basketball. His consistent performances brought the game into pop culture.
Surprisingly, that fanbase also included the name of Michael Phelps, who himself disclosed it in a 2012 interview with former CNN journalist, Piers Morgan. Apart from that, the Baltimore Bullet revealed a few more things about MJ that NBA fans would love to know about.

The interview started off with Piers Morgan asking Phelps about his sporting icon. The Baltimore Bullet, within a second, took the name of Michael Jordan. Thereafter, when Morgan asked the reason behind choosing him, Phelps said that on and off the court, the Bulls legend changed the sport.
Michael Phelps on what he would ask upon meeting Michael Jordan
When the then-CNN journalist asked whether Michael Phelps met Jordan and what he would ask the NBA legend upon meeting him. The Baltimore Bullet replied he didn’t meet him till now.
However, at that moment, Piers Morgan intervened and further asked about which thing of the Bulls legend Michael Phelps was most curious to know. In reply, the 28-time Olympic champ said a part of him would ask what made him take his first retirement along with what again made him change his mind.

Phelps said one of the things he loved about him was that “It didn’t matter what he had going on and off the court or if he was sick or this or that…He never uses it as an excuse. He came out every single night on the court and he did what he had to do to get the job done.”
Finally, he finished off by saying what Jordan did is what champions do. Therefore, his statements were self-explanatory and described what Phelps would ask MJ upon meeting him. Besides that, it also revealed the love and admiration the swimming legend had for Jordan.
