The Los Angeles Lakers took down the Indiana Pacers in their last matchup. The Lakers barely edged out the Pacers, winning the game 112-111 in the end. Anthony Davis led the way in scoring behind LeBron James, and despite Davis returning from injury and playing so well, fans and reporters were all interested in knowing LeBron James? mindset on approaching the all-time scoring record. James gave his views about him breaking Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?s record while paying homage to some baseball legends.?
LeBron James finished the night with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Now, he is only 63 points away from breaking the all-time scoring record that was held by ?The Captain? for 38 long years.

What it means to LeBron James to break the all-time scoring record
In the post-game interview after the Pacers game, James talked about various things. The media addressed James? perspective on Anthony Davis playing so well and his thoughts on Patrick Beverley?s performance.

That is when one reporter asked him what the all-time scoring record meant for all sports in general. To that, James said, ?I think it?s one of the greatest records, in sports in general. I think it?s up there with the home run record, in baseball.?
?Just, it?s one of those records that, um, just don?t ever see or think that would be broken. You know, and then, you end up seeing guys, you know, you had Hank Aaron that had it for so long. And then you see the guys, the likes of Sammy and Martin Mcguire. Those guys, you know, start climbing and it was like, oh, man, this thing can really? this thing can really happen,? added James.?

James also said, ?You know, you start really watching it and paying attention to it. And you see Sammy and Martin Mcguire go to that, uh, go to the, uh, go up the bat and they got a chance to knock it out every single time.?

When will LeBron likely surpass Abdul-Jabbar?
?King James? is all set to take the torch from the 19-time All-Star and it arguably won?t just be a historic moment for the NBA, but also for the entire sporting world itself.
