Shaquille O’Neal, the larger-than-life personality and legendary Hall of Famer of the NBA, has long been known for his generous gifting style, often making headlines for lavishing his friends and family with extravagant presents. However, he’s also gained a reputation as a no-nonsense and straightforward critic in his role as an NBA analyst, frequently locking horns with other basketball athletes who may not meet his high standards.
Despite this reputation, Shaq has always been quick to recognize and give credit where it’s due, as demonstrated on his latest podcast. During the episode, the former Los Angeles Lakers star spoke of “dropping off a convertible jeep” to WNBA Star Candace Parker’s 1 year old son.

During a recent episode of Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast, Candace Parker, the Las Vegas Aces player, made an appearance and the conversation turned to her unusually tall one-year-old baby boy, whom she affectionately calls ‘goose’. Shaq suggested the name ‘Bulls’ for the baby, but Candace stuck with her nickname. She described her son as being “Shaquille O’Neal baby size” and joked that he made the former basketball star look only “6 ‘1 – 6’ 2”.
Shaq couldn’t resist expressing his admiration for the adorable baby, saying “that baby is gorgeous” and remarking on how their eyes had connected during their meeting. He even went so far as to suggest that he and the baby had formed a special bond, saying “he gets two or three and uncle Shaq drop off that convertible jeep.” His affectionate words and playful banter with Candace over her son show a softer side of Shaq that many of his fans may not have seen before.
