Stephen Curry and Snoop Dogg’s “dream come true” collaboration

Stephen Curry and Snoop Dogg came together to refurbish Snoop’s childhood court at the Boys & Girls Club facility in Long Beach. Earlier this year, in September, they finally unveiled the refurbished court and surprised over 70 kids. Incidentally, the eventful inauguration also became a reporter’s highlight of the year. Jael Rucker, a junior editor from ONE37pm, got the chance to make her dream come true when she went to the inauguration to interview the two icons. Unsurprisingly, the interview was her proudest moment of the year. She said, “Interviewing @StephenCurry30 and @SnoopDogg is my proudest moment of 2022. I don’t get nervous very often, but I was literally shaking.”

In the clip she uploaded on her social media, Rucker is seen asking Snoop Dogg about how he felt taking on the project. In response, the $150 Million worth rapper said, “To come back and see the kids doing different things. Trying to be better than we were ? that’s what it’s all about. For us to give these kids more opportunities than we had ? that’s what it’s really about.”

Similarly, while addressing the kids at the facility, Curry said, “This is the beginning of hopefully an amazing journey, not just in sports but in life. Sports teach you so much about life and building great character, being a part of teams, and believing in yourself. We want to be able to provide that for you guys through Curry Brand, and we’re really excited about that.”
