The world loves the Big Shaq for his countless acts of kindness. He has an extremely long list of people helping people. He always believes in spending his money to help others. There have been countless incidents where Shaquille O’Neal has been an angel and that would be no overstatement.

He leaves no chance to be generous. Either be it buying something for someone at the mall randomly, donating money to people in need, or showcasing someone who deserves recognition. All these things make us love the Diesel.

Shaq has never forgotten where he came from. After growing up poor, he realizes what he can contribute to society. There are not many in the world for whom you could search their name followed by “acts of kindness” and endless results show up. But Shaq is one of those very rare people, with a heart just as big as himself.

TNT has recently started a TV show featuring Shaq, The Game Plan with Shaquille O’Neal, which is a 6 part docuseries featuring different Atlanta based entrepreneurs. Shaq will highlight their inspirational stories and they will receive business advice from Shaq and his highly successful celebrity friends. 

One such lucky person was Crystal Swain-Bates, the best-selling author featured on the show. We will see the story of the author and how Shaq helps her achieve the success she deserves. 

Shaq expressed how he was a fan of Crystal’s writing. He said, “I heard about your story and I am here to help.”

“Crystal’s books are something that the world needs to see, especially my little black children. They definitely need to see it. And Uncle Shaq will make sure it gets out there.” added Shaq.

This was a huge praise coming from the big man himself. Wanting his own kids to read what Crystal writes, is an honor for her in itself. Crystal was obviously humbled and, in an absolute sense of the word, delighted. Shaq’s mere presence was probable enough for her to be glad. To get recognition, help, and kind words from Shaq just made her elated, as she was honored by the NBA legend’s contribution.

Crystal feels lucky

Her vision is to encourage diversity and erase the invisibility of Black children in children’s literature. Her mission, ideology, and approach is inspiring. Moreover, it has been a game-changer in the publishing industry.
