Almost a decade ago, the Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant invested in one of the major sports drink brands in the country. In 2021, the Lakers legend’s estate reportedly earned millions of dollars from the said sports drink brand, after Coca-Cola acquired its remaining stakes. Coca-Cola, which already owned a 15% stake in the said brand, purchased the remaining 85% stake for $5.6 billion in cash in 2021. Recently, the same brand got knocked off from the UFC by Logan Paul and KSI’s popular drink brand ‘Prime’.

Just like BodyArmor, ‘Prime’ is one of those sports drinks which provide hydration to the drinker’s body. Paul and KSI launched it in 2022. Within one year, it started breaking records in sales owing to the YouTuber duo’s supreme marketing skills and big platforms for advertising. Soon the drink became popular enough to associate itself with probably the biggest franchise in the combat community. Recently, the prestigious mixed martial art organization and the sports drink brand announced a multi-year global marketing alliance. In other words, ‘Prime’ became the official sports drink of the UFC replacing BodyArmor.

With this global marketing alliance, the brand of KSI and Logan Paul would soon be a household name, if it wasn’t already. Interestingly, due to the extensive global reach of the UFC, the drink would be exposed to an estimated 900 million viewers.
