In a recent podcast episode of The Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal shocked everyone when he revealed his Christmas spending. When podcast co-host Nischelle Turner asked Shaq’s opinion on her new diamond jewelry, she prefaced it with, “Shaquille knows jewelry so I always ask the fella’s opinion.” While NBA legend Jamal Crawford, who was a special guest on the show, said Turner should buy it, the big man just shook his head and went on talk about his spending on jewelry during the Christmas season. Shaq said, “Just guess the price that I spent on Jewelry this this Christmas.”

Crawford almost hit the spot with his first guess, he said, “A million dollars”. Shaq nodded and revealed that he spend $770K on jewelry.

However, Shaq seemed unhappy with his purchase as he said he bought the jewelry to feel young. Later on, he claimed that wanted to embrace his old age instead of holding on to his youth. Shaq said, “I don’t want to be young anymore I’ve been embracing my oldness.”

Almost every NBA fan knows the dominating and competitive spirit of Shaq on the hardwood but not off the court. Once he spent close to a million dollars in an attempt to outdo Tyson off the court. In an interview, Shaq once revealed that he bought a couple of Rolls Royce cars to outdo the Boxing legend. Shaq said, “One time, me and Tyson was in the Rolls-Royce dealership and Tyson bought three. And I wasn’t gonna buy three, but I wasn’t gonna let him outdo me,” He further said, “So I bought two. Six hundred thousand going down the drain.”
