Great comebacks are always a spectacle to watch. Not only do they allow fans to believe in the reality of a miracle, but they also cement legendary statuses for the players involved. Take, for example, the Cavs’ comeback against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA finals. It cemented LeBron James’ legacy in Cleveland. More recently, consider Real Madrid’s comeback against PSG in the UEFA Champions League. It made fans jump off their seats. And among these fans were NBA stars Joel Embiid and Luka Doncic.
As Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema sealed the deal with a hat-trick, both Embiid and Doncic took to Twitter to express their celebration. They were enthralled with the fact that Madrid made a miraculous late comeback against a powerhouse like PSG.

Joel Embiid and Luka Doncic on Real Madrid’s Win
Embiid has always been a soccer fan, especially since he grew up in Cameroon, where soccer is the national sport. Over the years, he has stuck to one team apart from his Philadelphia 76ers. This is none other than Real Madrid. As the ‘Los Blancos’ completed a terrific comeback, Embiid took to Twitter, where he expressed celebratory views. Additionally, he even commented on the Super League that never attained fruition.
This is incredible. I’m still shocked. What a win!! UEFA thought they could punish RM for the super league and they lost #HalaMadrid

On the other hand, Doncic has had firsthand experience with Real Madrid. Prior to playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA, Luka was showing off his magic in Europe as a player for Real Madrid’s basketball team. Moreover, he even won the Most Valuable Player in the 2017-18 season of the EuroLeague with Real Madrid. So it was not a surprise when Luka extended his support to the football team on Twitter.

For Luka, it has been yet another solid season. He nearly averages a triple double with 28 points, 8.8 assists and 9.2 rebounds. As the Mavs continue to climb, they will hope to at least make a deeper playoff run as compared to last year. As long as Doncic is healthy, anything is possible.
In comparison, the 76ers have a sightly better standing in the Eastern Conference with a 40-24 record. Embiid has stepped up for his team in the absence of Simmons to keep the franchise’s championship hopes alive. Moreover, the addition of James Harden has really benefitted the squad.
