The Golden State Warriors had a bumpy journey this season with a few off-court issues. Additionally, a 28-year-old Dubs star went on a 22-game hiatus, and that very reason incited rampant rumors across the hoops community. Days after it got out of hand, his girlfriend silenced the rumors with a striking statement. Following the incident, she recently celebrated a major milestone in her life and penned an emotional message on social media.
The Dubs couldn’t defend their title this season because of various reasons. Superstar Stephen Curry missed out on a major portion of the regular season due to injuries. Moreover, stars like Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole failed to deliver in the postseason. Andrew Wiggins, who was influential in the 2021-22 season’s glory, couldn’t translate the same magic either. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old was over the moon after his girlfriend’s latest Instagram post.

Andrew Wiggins’ girlfriend silenced the ugly rumors
When Wiggins took the 22-game hiatus in February to take care of his ailing father, an ugly rumor of Johnson cheating on her NBA Champion boyfriend surfaced on the internet. The rumor went on to spread like wildfire until Johnson decided to put an end to it with a tweet. The tweet read, “Literally the farthest thing from the truth. It’s sad y’all even doing this.”
Importantly, Wiggins returned to the hardwood after the rumors subsided during a crucial game ahead of the postseason. However, he couldn’t make the desired impact on the team’s journey as he did in the previous season. The team ended its season’s campaign by losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Semifinals.
