Additionally, every time a clip from one of his games or his interviews resurfaces, fans are left in awe of the legend. The recently resurfaced clip is from the 2010 NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Boston Celtics. Tied at 2-2, with the Lakers on the road, that was a pivotal game for them. The Lakers leader stepped up to the occasion and dropped 38 points in that game with five rebounds and four assists. However, the Lakers ended up losing the game 92-86.
Jamal Crawford, who played for 20 years in the league,?shared the clip on his Instagram story. Crawford wrote, “23 straight points in the finals, in a must-win game on the road?!” Impressed by the performance of the 18x NBA All-Star, Crawford tried to imagine the reaction on social media of today’s age. He wrote, “Twitter would’ve shattered!!!,” by the sheer brilliance of the legend. The high praise coming from his peer would’ve meant so much to the Black Mamba.

Crawford himself is regarded as one of the finest ball handlers in the league’s history. He is a 3x Sixth Man of the Year award winner. He is also a recipient of the Teammate of the Year award in 2018 and in 2020 he retired from the game.

Kobe clinched his 5th title in 2010 with the Lakers. He was also recognized as the Finals MVP, the second award of his career. Pitted against the Celtics for the title, the series concluded in Game 7 after the teams went neck to neck in the first six games. Kobe scored 23 points with 15 rebounds in the final game which ended 83-79. The highest scorer for his team, Kobe spent almost 45 minutes on the court, ensuring a thrilling victory for his team.
