The Brooklyn Nets’ championship hopes are disappearing with them being down 3-0 against the Celtics. However, a ray of hope did make its way in. With Ben Simmons yet to suit up, he was expected to be a part of Game 4. This had the Nets fans feeling confident as they face the best defense in the league. But it seems it isn’t meant to be. According to the recent reports, Simmons will sit out even the crucial Game 4 matchup against the Boston Celtics. This left fans furious as seeing Simmons check out yet again.
The story of Ben Simmons this season has brought disappointment to the NBA community. After his saga with the Sixers, the former All-Star got his wish handed to him. He was traded to the Nets for James Harden. The stage was set for him to play, but another bump hit the road. Simmons suffered a back injury, which kept him out the entire remaining regular season. And he was also on course to miss the first round of the playoffs. However, with Brooklyn in need of help, Simmons had his opportunity to shine.

Ben Simmons to make his Nets debut next season?
The Celtics series hasn’t been easy on the eyes for Brooklyn fans. Their star player, Kevin Durant, failed to get things going in all 3 games so far. Down 3-0, the Nets were desperate for some help. And their hottest addition, Simmons will not be able to step up to the plate. With a potential season ender for the Nets in play, Simmons will only be able to affect the game from the sidelines. Likewise, fans were not happy with the false sense of hope.
They did not hold back against Simmons, who failed to deliver on his word yet again. They called him the softest player in the NB as he yet again won’t be able to show his impact on the night he is most needed.

The Nets have failed to curb the offensive trio of the Celtics, With no defense set, the Celtics have been able to pour points at will. But the addition of Simmons would have changed the course. The 7 foot guard is one of the best on-ball defenders in the NBA. While he won’t be at his peak, the Nets’ dynamic would have changed drastically. Tatum and Brown would feel a physical impact, with Simmons covering the two. Without a defense specialist, the Celtics duo has thrived on this series combining for over 50 points per game.
