The Los Angeles Lakers are going head to head against the best team in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns. While the Suns are dominating the proceedings, LeBron James is solidifying his own legacy. Going into the matchup, James was only a few assists shy of a career 10000 assists. While he got that with a dish to Carmelo Anthony, the King now stands alone in a historical record. Likewise, fans were left impressed with James, furthering his already stacked legacy.

Since coming into the league in 2003, they deemed James the next Jordan. With the mountains of pressure on him, the Akron Hammer showed no fear. He tackled every obstacle in front of him and is still going strong in his 19th year. Moreover, he is still one of the best players in the league coming off his second 50 point performance of the season. While the argument of him being the greatest is up for debate, LeBron’s recent record may have set him as the best all-around player to ever play in the NBA.

With 10000 assists under his belt, LeBron James became the only player to have 30,ooo points; 10,000 assists, and 10,000 rebounds.

LeBron James stands alone on the mountain

Over the course of his long career, James has emerged as a do it all player. While some players are known for one ability, the King has them all. His all-around style of play keeps him up there with some of the greats. However, with his dominating run in all the major stats, he now stands on the top all alone. His recent assist made him the only player to reach the historic landmark.

Even in his 19th season, James has not lost a step. Furthermore, he is emerging as a better player with an additional arsenal of weapons up his sleeve. With his dangerous longevity, James created history yet again.

While the Lakers have fallen off majorly this season, James is playing some of his best basketball. Despite being 37, the freight train is yet to slow down. James is still as athletic as ever and has added to his scoring arsenal. The King is leading the race for the scorers this season. Putting up 29.7 points per game, he is shooting at an elite 52% for the season. Moreover, he is competing against players who are in their primes such as Joel Embiid, Giannis and Kevin Durant.
