LeBron James continues to excel on the hardwood even after turning 38 years old. With his latest achievement, rather a historic milestone, the 4x NBA champion continues to receive high praise from numerous stars. After a long wait of 3almost 9 years, fans got to witness LeBron James become the new all-time scoring leader in the NBA, breaking the record of Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Before their game with the Milwaukee Bucks today, James took time to give a speech to the Los Angeles Lakers crowd at the Crypto.com Arena. 

The speech caught the attention of viewers as fans seemed to troll the Lakers superstar. Twitter users seemingly mocked LeBron James for copying verses from a familiar speech given by the Phoenix Suns’ latest addition, Kevin Durant.

James, after thanking the fans for their support, took a moment to mention his wife Savannah James. The 4x MVP mentioned, “My beautiful wife has been, I mean she is the real MVP if you want to completely be honest. She is actually the all-time leading scorer if you want me to be completely honest”. Though it seemed like a beautiful moment, some fans did not take it that way.

Kevin Durant, who had won the MVP in the 2013-14 season, had given a similar speech, appreciating his mother. KD’s famous ‘You the real MVP’ speech surfaced back after James’ speech today. Fans’ reactions to tweets reporting the speech are going viral.

LeBron James sat out today’s game against the Bucks due to soreness in his left ankle. Although that did not stop him from stealing the spotlight. James is expected to make a return to the team along with their new additions D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.

Kevin Durant’s trade might be a problem for the Lakers to bounce back

The blockbuster trade between the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns stunned the league yesterday. Moreover, LeBron James and Kevin Durant will now battle out in the Western Conference again after four years. Though it continues to create a lot of hype, Lakers fans doubt the team’s future this season. With the recent trades, the competition in the West seems to be even higher now.
