NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood during his playing days. Standing at 7’1, Shaq was a physical specimen, weighing around 324 lbs at the time. His opponents knew very well the destruction he could cause on the court. Recently, a Detroit Pistons legend revealed how he tackled the Big Diesel’s onslaught on the court after being iced up after every single game.
The 2004 NBA champion and four-time All-Star Rasheed Wallace once revealed how Shaq troubled him on the court. However, he ultimately figured out a way to get the best of him.

Wallace once made an appearance on UnderdogNBA and revealed what it felt like to guard Shaq on the court. He said, “Shaq outweighed me by at least 90/95 pounds. So I’ll bang with you a lil bit. I’ve banged with the big fella a little bit but damn, the first time I actually banged with him – down low on offense and defense…I’m sitting in my locker room. I got ice [on my elbows] – ice on my knees – ice on both my ankles.”
He was knackered after guarding Shaq and had to put ice on different parts of his body. The four-time All-Star added that in the meantime, ex-NBA veteran Cliff Robinson saw him like that and advised him on how to beat Shaq.
Wallace continued, “Robinson said, “You got to take him out on that wing a little bit. You know you could score out there. You’re faster out there – more agile than him on that wing. So take him out there to your world.'”?

The Pistons legend added, “He said, ‘Because you know where he going to be at on defense. You know he gonna be right there from block to block and he gonna be doing what? – Just being a big fella, just being Shaq.” Wallace concluded by saying that he did listen to Robinson’s advice as he couldn’t just afford to feel sore every time he faced the 15x All-Star.
