NBA superstar LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers won the game against the New York Knicks 129-123 in overtime. After their recent disappointment of the overtime loss against the Boston Celtics, the Lakers needed this win. James again had a stellar game with a triple-double at the Madison Square Garden. He had team-high 28 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Superstar Anthony Davis chipped in with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals. Jalen Brunson erupted for game-high 37 points but the Knicks could not secure the win.

Off the court, James’ former teammate Tristan Thompson made an appearance for NBA on ESPN and analyzed the game. Thompson played alongside the four-time MVP for four years.

The prodigal son, LeBron James, returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. The Cavs drafted Tristan Thompson in 2011 and he played a major part in their success alongside James. During his appearance on NBA Today on ESPN, Thompson talked about an interesting memory with James at the Madison Square Garden. At the time, flipping a water bottle was a huge trend in the world. As the Cavs sealed the win at the Big Apple, LeBron, Kyrie Irving, Thompson, and their teammates started flipping bottles on the bench.

James could not land it properly after multiple attempts and once the bottle went inside the court. So James had to dive and get the bottle. While recounting this hilarious moment, Thompson started to flip a battle on the set and got it right on his third try.
