The Atlanta Hawks are not done yet. Favoring the odds in the first round, Boston Celtics took a promising 3-1 lead after closing out the Hawks in Game 4. Moreover, with an unexpected suspension of a star player, things did not go the Hawks way ahead of Game 5. However, their $207 million star, Trae Young, made sure he brought out his cold side to keep the Conference Semis hopes alive.?

Reviving his nickname, the Hawks guard received high praise from the Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid and his suspended teammate as the Hawks extended the series with a stunning win in Boston.

Led by Jayson Tatum from the front, the Celtics were on a mission to close out the Hawks in order to advance to the Conference Semi-Finals. Anyhow, seems like Ice Trae is not ready to head back home. Dropping 38 points and 13 assists in a do-or-die game, Trae Young made sure he took things into his own hands. However, the 6’1 guard’s fourth-quarter performance stands as a highlight.

Down 10 points at the start of the fourth quarter, Young made sure he handled the pressure to keep the hopes alive. Though Jaylen Brown dropped 35 points, the Celtics could do nothing but watch the veteran guard take over.

Scoring all the last 14 points for the Hawks, Young was unstoppable. Down 1 point with 7 seconds remaining Young hit a deep three on Brown to decrease the deficit to 3-2. Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid made sure he gave Young his flowers. The African center tweeted, “This is some good hoops!!!?#IceTrae”?as he continues to rest for the second round of playoffs.?

Dejounte Murray reacts to Young’s cold dagger

Young did not have his co-star Dejounte Murray who was suspended due to an altercation with a referee after the Game 4 loss. After gaining the opportunity to play another playoff game, Dejounte Murray shared his excitement on Twitter as the 26-year-old mentioned, “LETS HEAD BACK TO ATLANTA! Love My Team. ALL FIGHT Against All Odds!!!! @TheTraeYoungBOIIIIIIIIIIIIII YOU BEEN THAT!”.?

Young filled in for Murray’s suspension in game 5. However, the Hawks will have Dejounte Murray back ahead of game 6 back in Atlanta. Only 95.2 % of NBA teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit. Back with a homecourt advantage, the Hawks have a great opportunity to tie the series, however, Tatum and Celtics are not an easy nut to crack.
