Averaging a career-high 21.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, the forward has evolved since being the purple and golds sharpshooter. Kuzma could serve as a solution to two of their biggest problems, rebounding and shooting. The Lakers lack a rebounding star with Anthony Davis going down. The 27-year-old put up 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists, a second career triple-double. Likewise, the Laker nation saw in worry as Kuzma’s impressive performances continued to elevate his trade value.

After the triple-double night, the NBA world sent warning signals to LeBron James and the Lakers. The purple and gold have continued to monitor Kuzma’s position. However, with a 15-21 record nearly halfway through the season, it is probably time to make those future draft picks available.
