Fans took to Twitter after NBCS’ veteran sports journalist Monte Poole spoke about the necessity for a trade involving Green and Thompson on Live TV. Monte Poole, a Warriors insider, detailed why such a trade is a tough possibility, but not impossible.

During the broadcast, the reporter raised a question regarding the possibility of the Warriors trading Green and Thompson out. Poole said that trading Green and Thompson is a sensitive topic for many Dubs players and fans alike despite their poor performances in recent times. Later, he also emphasized on trading either one or both out. The Dubs analyst further stated that Curry’s loyalty towards the duo is another obstacle behind such a trade, “He might be loyal to a fault“.

However, he concluded by saying that the sentimentality might start to fade if the Warriors continue their current form. Contrarily, fans were upset with the broadcast and demanded to trade the younger players. One user said, “They just won a championship six months ago. Trade the young players that suck a**. What are we doing here?”. Some fans still showed positivity towards reaching the Playoffs with the same mix.
