NBA fans around the world admire the Los Angeles Lakers for their sustained success since the beginning of the NBA. The franchise ranks among the highest valued sports teams. A roster filled with stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, makes them one of the NBA’s strongest teams.

The franchise is always on the lookout for new talent and rumors suggest they could move for an Indiana Pacers player.

Various reports have connected the Lakers to a trade move for the Pacers’ Myles Turner. A Pacers insider names Scott Agness, who remains knowledgeable about the trade deal disclosed this information in a podcast. He mentioned the franchise had engaged in talks with the Pacers about Turner.

Agness revealed that the Charlotte Hornets, which NBA legend Michael Jordan owns, also inquired about acquiring Turner. Agness said, “I’ve heard there’s been some talks with the Lakers, previously Charlotte checked in several times.” The Lakers seem to be on the lookout for a new player to bolster their roster in order to qualify for the NBA playoffs.

Turner started his NBA career in 2015 with the Pacers. The 25-year-old center has been described as an elite rim protector. A move to Los Angeles could allow him to display his defensive capabilities.

The Lakers have remained quite vulnerable on the defensive side this season. In the 2020-2021 season, he had an average of 3.4 blocks per game. The franchise might solve their woes with a smart trade move by signing Turner from the Pacers.
