The Golden State Warriors are back in the news again. After extending the contracts of Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole, the Warriors have gone ahead and pulled off another three moves that could have a major impact on the Stephen Curry-led team.
By extending Poole and Wiggins’ contracts, the Warriors increased their championship window by a few years. The squad is loaded with young talent, but they are already millions over the salary cap. So many expected them to let go of a few players.

However, the Warriors are not letting that happen. Prominent NBA reporter Anthony Slate tweeted, “The Warriors are picking up the fourth year option on James Wiseman and the third year options on Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody before today’s deadline, I’m told.”

Happy for Kuminga and Moody. The other guy can play in China or North Korea for all I care

Nice. Btw why don’t we take a good 3&D free agent as our 15th spot?

Good idea. I like these guys, and they’ll get better with more time on the court.
Just need to work on defense and get a bit more experience.

The Warriors do not let go of their young stars
Over the last decade, the Warriors have shown that they are a team that drafts young players and allows them to become stars. The biggest example of that is Stephen Curry. He has been with the Warriors since 2009 and he has blossomed into one of the faces of the league.
Klay Thompson also made his way through the draft and he become an integral part of these four title runs. Draymond Green also came into the draft and he has become the unspoken leader of this team. Jordan Poole is another player who came into the draft and is now on the verge of becoming an All-Star.

With these three moves, the Warriors ensured that they are going to be in the championship picture for the next few years. The league better take note of what the Warrior’s culture has transformed into and how beneficial it has turned out for them.
