Me’arah O’Neal has been making waves in the basketball community over the past few years. She currently features for the Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California. She’s often in the news for displaying her flamboyant basketball skills.
On Sunday, the 17-year-old uploaded a story on Instagram, paying tribute to her mother, Shaunie Henderson, on the occasion of Mother’s Day. They can be seen standing together and it seemed like Me’arah’s physique is heavily influenced by her gigantic father. O’Neal was seen towering over her mother in the social media post. It was reported that Shaq’s daughter stood at 6’4 tall when she was just fifteen years of age. Her massive stature has helped her to dominate the paint on the basketball court. Just like Shaq, she features as a Center for her teams.
Me’arah has often posted pictures on Instagram that show people just how tall she is. Over a year ago, she uploaded a post with her parents and captioned it, “iloveyou” with a red heart emoji. However, fans were taken aback due to her tall stature.

It was reported that the 17-year-old received a scholarship offer from the prestigious UCLA a few months back. But quite recently, she received a scholarship offer from her dad’s alma mater, Louisiana State University. The LSU Tigers recently won the NCAA Championship this year.
Shaquille O’Neal featured for LSU back in the 1990s and got his name etched in the Athletics Hall of Fame. Her older brother Shareef O’Neal, before playing in the NBA G-League, featured for the men’s team of LSU. It remains to be seen if Me’arah will carry on her family legacy at LSU or will carve her own path. It’ll be interesting to watch how Me’arah’s career pans out in the upcoming years. While most of his kids have taken up basketball as their career, another son of the 4x NBA champion has followed his father in a different field.
