Shaquille O’Neal has been a tough player in all the 19 seasons that he has played in the league. The player has been fierce and a dominating figure on-court, but even the best of the players have bad days and bad forms. The 15-time All-Star has won a lot of accolades and praise throughout his playing career but also has struggled in phases during his career.

The Lakers legend spoke on the NFL icon Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen splitting up. O’Neal and Brady have been friends for a long time. Hence, the ‘Hobo Master’ had a few heartfelt words to say to the couple, hoping that they could reverse the situation.

Shaquille O’Neal on Tom Brady’s situation

Shaquille O’Neal was the most menacing opponent anybody could have. He used to dominate games and would trouble the opponents regularly, but even the illustrious career of the 15-time All-Star had issues during his playing career. He described his issues to draw parallels with Tom Brady’s current situation.

While talking on the recent ‘The Big Podcast’, O’Neal was asked about the situation with Tom Brady as the NFL legend received his third loss in a row for the season. The Lakers legend came to the defense of Brady, “During the 2006 Finals I was going through a divorce, and i couldn’t do anything right, that’s when I had to give everything to D Wade.” The Lakers no. 34 said, further adding, “Tom’s going through a tough time right now,”

The Los Angeles Lakers legend went on to explain how difficult it is going through a divorce as the mother would take their kids back with them. And people sit alone in their homes, affecting them negatively. The Lakers legend then had good wishes for the now estranged couple “I don’t know the situation, but I wish them well and hopefully they can reconciliate or reconcile and get back together”

O’Neal and Brady have been friends for a long time. The Lakers legend maintained throughout the conversation that Tom Brady has not lost his touch as a QB, but is going through a tough time.

The 15-time All-Star won three NBA championships before he went to Miami to get his fourth ring. He mentioned how he was performing poorly in the 2006 NBA finals because of his divorce.
