Every NBA great will eventually come down to play their last game, and that is the case for a Miami Heat legend. Various players across the league would share their thoughts, but it’s always the teammates who make this moment more special. Similarly, the Heat legend had a heartwarming video compilation of his teammates bidding him adieu. Notably, this Heat legend had some of the all-time greats as his teammates over the course of his career. LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, and Dwyane Wade are among the long list of legendary teammates.
The current season isn’t the greatest for the Miami side. However, the team sealed their spot for the play-in (PI) tournament as they finished 7th in the Eastern Conference. The Heat takes on the Atlanta Hawks in the PI to keep their hopes alive for a championship. However, the Heat have a game left in their regular season, and the franchise made a beautiful video for 42-year-old Udonis Haslem as he is set to take part in the final regular season game of his career.

The 3x NBA Champion Haslem has played every year of his 20-season-long career for Miami. He has played alongside some of the modern greats of the game. Despite playing a minimum number of games in the last few seasons, he garnered a lot of warmth from his former teammates. The Heat’s official social media handle uploaded a heartwarming video of his teammates, past and present, talking about the legend before his final game.
LeBron James, who played alongside Haslem between 2010-2014, said, “You’re the heartbeat man, of Miami man.” He also added, “To Be With You, To Fight With You… was a treat to me, man.”

The Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaq said, “If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t have got the first championship to Miami.” Dwyane Wade said, “Nothing was given to you. Everything was earned, my brother.”

Udonis Haslem – a look back
Despite not having the relative basketball height, he forced his way into the biggest league in the country. He recently opened up about his childhood struggles which shaped him into the person that he is now. The toughness helped him cement his spot at the Heat camp for 20 years and help them win 3 titles during his tenure.
As James pointed out, Haslem has always been the heartbeat of the team. Although his role on-court has diminished significantly over the past decade, he remains one of the most cherished and respected members of the organization. The city of Miami will definitely miss seeing the 42-year-old on the bench shouting instructions from next season.
