The story of Bradley Beal with the Washington Wizards has been one of the biggest talking points over the last few weeks. Despite his sensational scoring performances, the Wizards have struggled to find a stable footing this season.

They are just 4-12 this season, and looking at Beal’s body language, it appears that he has done everything in his power. Even though the Wizards won against the Nets in their last game, Beal didn’t look energetic in the game and did the bare minimum.

Because of this slow start for the Wizards, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins discussed Beal’s future on “NBA on ESPN.” The former NBA center said:

“Free Bradley Beal, you got to free that man. Look, he has been loyal to this organization long enough… Look, it’s time for him to move on. He cannot waste anymore time just playing minimal basketball. This guy’s leading the league in scoring, averaging almost 35 points a game.

“It is not anybody else, It’s on Bradley Beal to come out and say it’s time for a change. I’m requesting a trade. And it’s also on the ownership of his agent to give him the right advice to say you know what? I need to put you in the best position possible. And right now this isn’t it.”

However, things could improve for the franchise in the coming weeks. As their offseason acquisition, Russell Westbrook finally had an insane game for the team vs the Nets. Prior to that game, Russ was in a kind of a slump since the beginning of the season.

But Westbrook recently revealed that he wasn’t 100% fit until now. If what Russ said is true, fans might see a completely new Wizards’ squad that will be making a push for the playoffs. But if this experiment fails, it’s could only be a matter of time before Beal requests a trade.
