However, there was something more than just a win that KD accomplished last night. The Nets guard moved ahead of the San Antonio Spurs legend, Tim Duncan, on the NBA’s All-Time Scoring list. Last night, Durant made history as he occupied the 15th position on the NBA’s All-Time Scoring list. The 2-time NBA Champion achieved this feat after surpassing the Spurs legend who had scored 26,496 points over the course of his illustrious career.

The Nets guard is currently sitting with 26,497 points. During the second quarter of the game, the 34-year-old achieved the historical feat by swiftly completing a basket and adding two points to the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, KD’s accomplishment broke the internet and attracted a lot of comments from fans. The fans took to Twitter to express their opinions, which were primarily mixed. Most of them commented that the Spurs legend was a better player despite KD surpassing him on the list. They further expressed that he could never be as great as the five-time champion. One user pointed out that the now 46-year-old veteran had way less drama during his career when compared to Durant.

However, regardless of what the fans feel, the two-time NBA champion is now just less than 1000 points away from moving into the top 10. If KD remains fit, then the NBA world would probably witness him achieve that too.

Last night, KD displayed an astonishing performance on the hardwood as he ended the game with 32 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. With this win, the Nets recorded their ninth straight consecutive win of the season and are currently sitting in the third position in the Eastern Conference table.
