The Los Angeles Clippers kept alive their dominant streak against city rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. Marking their 10th straight win, Kawhi Leonard and Co. walked to a convincing win. The game never came into the hands of the Lakers. However, there were flashes of a potential comeback. It was all due to the brilliance of LeBron James. While he ended up on the losing side, the King made history by eclipsing Kobe Bryant and James Harden.
Before the contest against the Clippers, the 18-time All-Star had a 40-point game against 29 teams in the NBA. He joined Bryant and Harden with that feat. However, his 46-point masterclass against The Klaw saw him sit all alone on the top. Notably, he is now the only player in the history of the NBA to score 40 against all 30 teams.
His hot scoring streak inched him close to the much-anticipated all-time scoring record. For now, NBA fans gawked over his scoring prowess.

LeBron James makes history as the only player to have 40 against each team
Over his career, the Clippers seemed to be an Achilles heel. Notably, he averaged just 24.1 points per contest before tonight. The mark was a career low for the King against any franchise according to CBS. Likewise, it was arguably sweeter to finally see the four-time MVP surpass the 40-point mark against the Lakers? instate rivals. Going off for 46 against one of the best defensive duos, James shot over 50% for the night. In addition, his blistering night saw him make a career-high 9 threes.
Without him, the Lakers would never have had hopes for a comeback. Unfortunately for James, late-game errors saw his side fall to Kawhi Leonard. However, the night remains special for him, and the fans were more than impressed.
This will NEVER be done again…

Love him or hate him, you can't deny this man's greatness. He's playing like one of the best players in the league at age 38. If it was that easy it would have been done already. It ain't! Bow down to GREATNESS!!! 🫡🫡🫡 https://t.co/fXI3iF1h2f

The Mamba and Harden both scored 40 or more against 29 competitors. The Beard is arguably one of the most gifted scorers in league history. However, he has not been able to reach even 30 against his former franchise, the Houston Rockets. On the other hand, Kobe Bryant has innumerable scoring feats to his name. Likewise, he scored 40 against every team he came up against. But since he never faced the Lakers, the five-time champ couldn?t join James.
At 38, the Akron Hammer is having one of the best-scoring campaigns. Sadly, the Lakers? performances are holding him back. Despite monster nights, they are stuck as the 12th seed. While they took another loss, encouraging news might turn the season around. Notably, Anthony Davis is back on the floor with non-contact drills. Moreover, new signing Rui Hachimura might debut against the San Antonio Spurs.
