In what was expected to be one of the matches of the season, the Philadelphia 76ers vs the Brooklyn Nets game turned out to be a one-sided affair. The Nets led by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving led the team to a 129-100 win. While Joel Embiid was fantastic as usual for the Sixers, James Harden definitely underperformed.

Despite being in good form in the past matches, Harden did not perform well in the match against his former team. In a viral photo doing rounds on the internet, Julius Erving aka Dr. J is seen courtside looking at his phone screen disappointingly.

James Harden fails to live up to the mark

James Harden made his much-anticipated move to Philadelphia during the trade deadline. In the first matchup against his former team, the Brooklyn Nets, Harden failed to impress. Thanks to his fine form earlier, a lot was expected from him.

MVP candidate Joel Embiid was phenomenal as usual. The 76ers star netted in 27 points and 12 rebounds. While Harden was on the other end of the spectrum. He scored just 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Moreover, the former MVP was shooting 3 for 17 from the field.

While Ben Simmons did not play, he was received with boos from the Philadelphia home crowd. The mood of the crowd quickly shifted to the home team as Harden and co struggled against a Brilliant Nets.

Thanks to this win, the Nets are finally back to their very best as the team is back above the .500 mark. They currently take 8th place in the Eastern Conference. Despite this loss, the Philadelphia 76ers remain third in their conference.
