Luka Doncic had a great season but lost to the eventual champions, Golden State Warriors in the Conference Finals. A lot of teams have already started preparing for the next season. They are on the lookout for players who would be a better fit for their team.

Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets are in recent news looking for trade opportunities. Dallas had a great season, with Luka Doncic having the best playoff performance so far. However, they were not able to compete against the much better Warriors and lost 4-1.

On the other hand, Rockets? journey wasn?t really ideal. They failed to qualify for the playoff and were placed last in the Western Conference. Now both the teams are looking for trade opportunities surrounding Christian Wood as the Rockets looking to rebuild.

As per The Athletic, Houston is willing to trade Christian Wood for a number 26 overall pick along with a few players. Mark Cuban is very well aware that the Mavericks need another all-star caliber player alongside Luka if they want to lift the championship.

Christian Wood this year averaged 17.9 points along with 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 68 games.?

He would be a strong addition to the Dallas team. On the other hand, Houston would be trying to rebuild their team.

Getting some younger players from Dallas would be the first step in that direction. They already have two first-round picks and getting another one would be a great addition.

The NBA fraternity believes that Dallas is the clear winner of this trade. Many fans believe that if all the players in Mavericks remain healthy, the chances of them being contenders would be exponentially high. Although some are concerned about his injury and attitude issues, no one is denying that this deal is still a steal for Mavericks.
