On the other hand, Rockets? journey wasn?t really ideal. They failed to qualify for the playoff and were placed last in the Western Conference. Now both the teams are looking for trade opportunities surrounding Christian Wood as the Rockets looking to rebuild.
Will Luka Doncic and the Mavericks get their man?
As per The Athletic, Houston is willing to trade Christian Wood for a number 26 overall pick along with a few players. Mark Cuban is very well aware that the Mavericks need another all-star caliber player alongside Luka if they want to lift the championship.
Christian Wood this year averaged 17.9 points along with 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 68 games.?
He would be a strong addition to the Dallas team. On the other hand, Houston would be trying to rebuild their team.
Getting some younger players from Dallas would be the first step in that direction. They already have two first-round picks and getting another one would be a great addition.
The fans react to the trade prospect of Wood to Dallas
The NBA fraternity believes that Dallas is the clear winner of this trade. Many fans believe that if all the players in Mavericks remain healthy, the chances of them being contenders would be exponentially high. Although some are concerned about his injury and attitude issues, no one is denying that this deal is still a steal for Mavericks.
We traded bench players who didn’t play one playoff minute for a top 1 center in my opinion who is good for 18 & 10. This was a fuckin steal, except we gave up Boban 😓😓😓

We’re about to see the best version of Christian Wood with Luka Doncic. Wood can finish lobs like Dwight Powell or pop for 3s like Maxi Kleber, and attack off the dribble better than them both. It’s a contract year so he’s gonna be hustling all year on defense too. Huge addition. https://t.co/6H3cpr40KG

You’re not worried about chemistry? I think he’s capable of doing what you say but he doesn’t seem like his head is on straight.
